Nessebar police began the raid in Sunny Beach at about 8am. Officers entered the flat where the man lives, a few metres from the beach and the Kakao bus stop, and searched it.
Inside they found about 3 grams of a white crystalline substance. A field test showed it was methamphetamine, known as "pico". Another 3 grams of white powder tested positive for amphetamine.
Police also seized about 2 grams of dry green plant material, probably cannabis, and two hand-rolled cigarettes containing the same substance.
The man is being held in the cells at Nessebar police station. Fast-track proceedings have been opened against him.
It is not yet known whether the drugs were for sale or personal use. Investigators must establish where the substances came from and how they were stored.
