Over the past three days, the police have detained five drivers who consumed alcohol. The cases are distributed across different settlements and involve various vehicles, which highlights the need for increased road control.
The first case was registered on November 1st around 02:40 a.m. on "Tsar Osvoboditel" street in Aytos. Officers from the Aytos Regional Police Department stopped a "Yamaha Majesty" motorcycle with Burgas registration for inspection. A 55-year-old man from the village of Karageorgievo, Aytos, was behind the wheel. The check revealed the presence of alcohol in his blood – 1.28 per mille. The driver was detained for up to 24 hours, and the motorcycle was seized. A fast-track proceeding has been initiated in the case.
On the same day, November 1st, around 3:15 p.m., in the village of Prosenik, Ruen municipality, officers from the Ruen Regional Police Department stopped a "Audi A6" car with Burgas registration for inspection. It was driven by a 59-year-old man from the village of Prosenik. An alcohol concentration of 1.65 per mille was established. The driver was also detained for up to 24 hours. A 35-year-old man from the village of Topchiysko was behind the wheel. Upon inspection, an alcohol concentration of 2.71 per mille was detected. The driver was detained for up to 24 hours. A fast-track proceeding has been initiated against him.
