Police in Burgas detained a man at the North Beach after receiving reports that he was filming young children. Witnesses to the incident described him walking along the sand, pointing his mobile phone at young children, primarily girls.

The report to the emergency number 112 was made yesterday, between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, after a beach employee noticed the man's suspicious behavior. "Staff members noticed an individual acting strangely. He was behaving as if he had come to the beach, but he wasn't swimming. He was walking around the sunbeds, using his phone to secretly take pictures of young girls, including some around 10 years old, without the visitors' knowledge, filming them in their swimsuits," said Simeon Tsvetkov, the concessionaire of the "Burgas-North" beach.

During the police operation, the device in question was seized and inspected. Tsvetkov noted that images showing parts of young girls' bodies were found in its memory. Although he shared: "I have no information on what else the phone contained, but as far as I understand, this is not the first such incident," the man himself was detained by officers from the Fifth District Police Department in Burgas and released after the check was completed. The authorities have currently prepared a file on the case, which is set to be reviewed by the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office, where a decision will be made on whether to proceed with further legal measures.
