The Kamchia reservoir is more than 86% full, holding 201.594 million cubic metres of water, the environment ministry's daily bulletin shows.
The reservoir supplies drinking water to Varna, Burgas and dozens of other towns and villages along the Black Sea coast. The Yasna Polyana reservoir is 74.20% full, the same data show.
In March, Kamchia even overflowed after heavy rain in spring and autumn. But the picture was very different a year ago, when drought and low rainfall left reservoirs short of water. Back then, in the second half of September, the reservoir was only half full.
