Important information for drone enthusiasts in Burgas
Burgas Municipality has announced the introduction of a strict ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) throughout the entire municipality. The measure comes into effect from 06:00 on May 8 and will remain active until midnight on May 9.
The ban is imposed to ensure public order and the safety of participants during the prestigious cycling tour Giro D'Italia Grande Partenza 2026.
Who is authorized to use drones?
Exceptions to the ban will be made only for vehicles owned by authorized persons and organizations:
- RCS Sports & Events S.r.l. (official organizer of the Giro D'Italia);
- Burgas Municipality;
- "Burgas 2032" Foundation.
We urge all other operators to comply with the imposed restriction so as not to hinder the conduct of the international sporting event.
