Weather forecast: Unstable air mass and risk of hail
The night will be mostly clear and quiet, but the morning will bring fog in the eastern regions and the valleys. Unfortunately, the day will be marked by an unstable atmosphere, warns the NIMH.
Be careful: Around and after noon, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop, bringing a risk of short-lived but intense rainfall, accompanied by thunder and hail.
Temperatures and conditions by region
- In the country: Maximum temperatures will be between 25° and 30°, in Sofia around 26°. The wind will be northwesterly, and in Eastern Bulgaria – southeasterly.
- Black Sea coast: Sunny with temporary increases in cloud cover. Water temperature 20-21°, sea state 2-3.
- Mountains: Danger of intense rainfall in the Central Balkan and the Rhodopes. Temperatures at 2000 m will reach 14°.
The trend for unstable weather will continue through Sunday and Monday, when thunderstorms and hail are expected again.
