The prestigious musical ensemble will present a special program on August 4th at the Summer Theater in Burgas, as part of a large-scale European tour. The event is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the King of Waltz – Johann Strauss Jr., and promises an unforgettable musical experience.
The concert will be led by the exceptional conductor Maestro David Skar – a South African musician with an impressive international career. His biography includes remarkable achievements: graduating from the Vienna Conservatory, working with leading world musicians, and conducting prestigious orchestras.
The orchestra's lineup includes some of the most distinguished classical musicians from Europe, who will present a rich program of Strauss waltzes and polkas. Among them, two Bulgarian musicians stand out: violinist Tanya Dzharova-Salustio and flutist Boris Lipov – true ambassadors of Bulgarian musical art in the Viennese elite.
Tanya Dzharova-Salustio, who is a concertmaster, has over 30 years of international experience and has performed on five continents. Boris Lipov, deemed a "musical miracle" from an early age, is the first flutist in Viennese ensembles and a recipient of numerous prestigious awards.
Organizer Georgi Radev emphasizes that the tour's goal is not just to give a concert, but to offer a true touch of Viennese musical tradition. "We want to bring the spirit of classical music with authenticity and emotion," he shares.
The program promises to present both popular and lesser-known Strauss works that will immerse the audience in the atmosphere of classical Viennese music. The concert combines elegance, virtuosity, and deep respect for musical heritage.
Tickets for this exceptional event are already on sale through various channels, including online platforms and the Burgas Opera box office. The organizers expect great interest in the concert, which promises to be the cultural event of the summer.
Maestro Skar, who combines his African roots with Viennese musical tradition, will conduct the orchestra with his characteristic mastery. His career includes leadership of the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra and performances on prestigious stages worldwide.
