Tomorrow - April 8th, from 12:00, traffic will be restored in the lane to Burgas on the 6-kilometer section of the "Trakia" Motorway between the 342nd km and the 348th km of the motorway. Traffic in the section on the territory of Burgas region will be carried out with increased caution and with a speed limit of 80 km/h. We remind you that on March 5th, repairs to the track began, and for the implementation of construction activities, traffic in one lane was completely restricted, and vehicles pass in both directions in the lane to Sofia.

Given the expected intensive traffic for Easter, from April 8th, vehicles will be able to move again in the lane to Burgas. Partial repairs to the asphalt surface have been completed in the section so far, and traffic safety has been ensured.

The technical project for the repair of the section provides for the reconstruction of the road surface and the repair of the embankments, as geosynthetic materials will be used for their strengthening, and a new road construction will be built. The section has been in operation since 2006 and has not been repaired so far. Construction and installation works are carried out by "Avtomagistrali" EAD under the contract for the strengthening of objects from the republican road network, affected by geodynamic processes and phenomena, concluded in 2019. A building permit was issued for their implementation on January 21, 2026.

It is expected that after the Easter holidays and according to the intensity of traffic, construction and installation works in the section will be restored. The estimated completion date for the activities in the lane to Burgas is mid-June 2026.

The Road Infrastructure Agency appeals to drivers to drive carefully, strictly follow the road signs, keep their distance, and not undertake risky overtaking that endanger the safety of other travelers.
