The political formation "Revival" took decisive actions in the National Assembly by submitting an official project for a five-year freeze on the government's Program for selling state property.

The deputies insist not only on future suspension of property transactions, but also on immediate termination of already started procedures for disposing of state-owned property.

The parliamentary initiative is a direct response to recently adopted first reading changes in the State Property Act. According to the representatives from the formation, the proposed texts lack the planning of a social investment fund, which was previously announced by the executive branch.

The political group characterized the actions of the governing body as an attempt to fill the budget deficit by selling state property.

In a sharp critical speech, Deputy Petar Petrov emphasized: "The government's only motive is transferring attractive state properties to certain individuals under suspicious market conditions. It is unacceptable to plunder national property through electronic auctions that do not have the initially declared purpose."

"Revival" announced that it will continue to submit similar proposals to stop property transactions, including between the two readings of the State Property Act, with an extremely short deadline - until Monday.
