The Regional Information Center-Varna organized a meeting aimed at future specialists in the field of project management. The event was attended by lecturers and students from the master's program "Project Management" at the University of Economics - Varna. The atmosphere in the hall was filled with interest as those present prepared to delve into the details of working with European funds.
RIC-Varna presented to the audience key aspects of the functioning of the Information System for the Management and Monitoring of EU Funds in Bulgaria - ISUN 2020, the center's press service announced to BTA. The system, a key tool for managing European funds, was examined in detail. The young people received information about the three main modules of the system, learned about the different possibilities for extracting data, which allow analysis and evaluation of projects. Particular attention was paid to the stages of evaluating project proposals, including administrative compliance and admissibility, as well as technical and financial evaluation.
The attendees were also shown the section "E-tender procedures", which plays an important role in ensuring transparency and competition. The topic of the role of Local Initiative Groups (LIGs) in ensuring access to funding and the development of local potential was also discussed. The audience was introduced to the Indicative Annual Work Programs, which determine funding priorities, and project proposals already submitted were also discussed to give an idea of the real practical work.
In addition, during the meeting, students and lecturers had the opportunity to get acquainted with the programs "Erasmus+", "Creative Europe" and the DiscoverEU initiative, which provide opportunities for exchange, cooperation and creative development. The focus was placed on the specific opportunities for working on projects in the field of culture, which sparked lively interest and many questions from those present.
The guests reviewed the content of the Unified Information Portal of European Funds Eufunds.bg, where they can find information on various financial instruments and programs. The training ended with a presentation of the activities and services provided by the Regional Information Center-Varna, thus emphasizing its role in supporting project initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, all attendees received promotional and copyrighted materials that can be useful in their future work.
