As the new year 2026 approaches, parents can already plan how their children will spend their vacations. Here's when the vacations for students will be during the first half of 2026:
- January 4th - the last non-school day of the Christmas vacation
- February 2nd - mid-term break (together with Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1st, there are three days off)
- April 4th - April 13th - spring break for grades 1-11
- April 8th - April 13th - spring break for 12th grade
Non-school days due to matriculation and external assessment exams:
- 4th grade: June 3rd - Bulgarian Language and Literature and June 4th - Mathematics
- 7th grade: June 17th - Bulgarian Language and Literature, June 19th - Mathematics and Natural Sciences, June 22nd - Foreign Language
- 10th grade: June 17th - Bulgarian Language and Literature, June 19th - Mathematics and Natural Sciences, June 22nd - Foreign Language, June 23rd - IT
- 12th grade: May 20th is the matriculation exam in Bulgarian Language and Literature, May 22nd is the state matriculation exam by choice
End of the school year:
- For graduating students: May 15th
- For students in grades one through three: May 29th
- For students in grades four through six: June 12th
- For students in grades seven through eleven: June 30th
