Progress on the repair of the bike path to "Sarafovo"

The majority of the structural reinforcement of the bike path to the "Sarafovo" neighborhood has already been completed. The repair activities cover a route approximately 1.3 km long, where 400 cast-in-place piles have been installed to stabilize the slope.

The piles are 6 meters deep and are spaced one meter apart to ensure long-term stability of the terrain.

Protection against coastal erosion

The on-site teams also completed a 10-meter stone revetment. Its key function is to protect the path from coastal erosion and prevent the occurrence of new landslide processes.

Safety for cyclists

After long negotiations with the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and insistence from Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, the property was transferred from the state to the Municipality of Burgas, which allowed for urgent measures to be taken to control the situation.
