BRYANSK OBLAST, RUSSIA - In a series of coordinated attacks, Ukrainian forces inflicted serious damage on critical infrastructure affecting the operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline. The purpose of these strikes is clear – to undermine the logistics of the Russian war machine and to question its ability to sustain its combat operations.

Attack on the "Unecha" Hub

The most recent and devastating attack was directed at "Unecha," the largest hub on Russian territory, which is part of the extensive Druzhba network. This strategic site plays a central role in the delivery of crude oil, a vital resource for the Russian army and industry. "Unecha" is also a key element in Europe's energy dependence on Russian oil, which makes the attack extremely significant.

According to reports, Ukrainian forces, including the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR), used artillery and drones to carry out the strike. As a result of the attack, a large fire broke out in the industrial zone of the site, affecting auxiliary pumps, oil tanks, and critical energy infrastructure. The atmosphere at the scene was tense, filled with the sound of sirens and bursting flames.
<_q_>This incident is a continuation of an earlier attack, conducted only three days prior, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a transformer station supplying the southern branch of the same oil pipeline. This targeted action temporarily interrupted the delivery of crude oil to Hungary and Slovakia, which led to concerns about the energy security of the European Union.

Strategic Campaign

Analysts assess that these strikes are part of a broader and more methodical Ukrainian campaign aimed at disrupting the logistical networks that are essential for supporting the Russian military economy. The capacity of "Unecha" to transport up to 60 million tons of oil annually makes it a critical target.

These actions represent a direct and tangible threat to the effectiveness of the Russian war machine, questioning its ability to sustain a long-term military campaign.
