Ukraine Advances Military Training Towards NATO Standards

Ukraine is successfully modernizing its military training, making significant progress in line with NATO standards. International experts note key improvements in professional military education and interoperability, which enhances the country's defense capabilities and prepares the ground for future integration.

In 2025, the institutional audit of the professional military education (PME) system in Ukraine concluded. International experts confirmed that the training of Ukrainian military personnel already largely meets NATO standards, with the majority of the recommendations from the previous audit in 2020 successfully implemented.

This result is indicative not only of deep institutional reform, but also of Ukraine's ability to modernize its army in the conditions of an active military conflict – something that few countries have managed to achieve.

The reform of the military education system is not formal.
