Large-scale operation against drug trafficking in Burgas and Yambol
An organized criminal group involved in the distribution of high-risk narcotic substances has been neutralized in a joint specialized operation in the Burgas and Yambol regions. The action was carried out under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office – Burgas.
During the operation, over 250 kilograms of marijuana were seized, with a market value estimated at over 2 million euros.
Case details:
- The operation was implemented based on an investigation by the State Agency for National Security (SANS).
- Officers from the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDBOP) took an active part in the operation.
- More information is expected to be presented at an official briefing at the Appellate Prosecutor's Office – Burgas.
The press conference will be attended by District Prosecutor Georgi Chinev, supervising prosecutor Angel Georgiev, Director of the specialized agency at SANS Dancho Zhelev, and Deputy Director of GDBOP Senior Commissioner Darin Kostov.
