International Creative Residency "Tidal Lines" in Burgas
The National Academy of Art (NAA) announces a call for applications for the international creative residency "Tidal Lines: Art, Freedom and Sustainability of the Black Sea". The program will take place from October 18 to 31, 2026, at the NAA branch in Burgas.
The initiative is part of the Re Europe project and is co-funded by the Creative Europe program of the EU.
Who can apply?
- Visual artists at the beginning of their career (up to 5 years of experience);
- Citizens or residents of "Creative Europe" countries;
- Disciplines: painting, printmaking, photography, video, sculpture, performance, etc.
What does the residency offer?
The organizers provide full coverage of expenses:
- Transport and accommodation;
- Daily allowance and budget for materials;
- Individual studios and mentoring.
The focus of the program is on experiment and dialogue on topics such as censorship in art and the Black Sea as a symbol of memory and transformation. The deadline for applications is June 15, 2026.
