The injured are three women who were on the bus, which is owned by the Municipality of Burgas. The bus was traveling on its regular route when, for still undetermined reasons, its 35-year-old driver suddenly and abruptly stopped. The stop caused the three female passengers to fall to the floor of the vehicle. The scene unfolded in front of dozens of other passengers who witnessed the event.
Among the injured are a 41-year-old woman from Stara Zagora, a 56-year-old Polish citizen who was likely a tourist in the city, and a 66-year-old Russian citizen.
What are the injuries of the victims?
As a result of the incident, the woman from Stara Zagora sustained a superficial head wound. The Russian citizen has a head contusion, and the Polish tourist has a contusion to her left knee. All three injured women were examined by medical teams and subsequently released for home treatment. Fortunately, their injuries are not serious and their lives are not in danger, and doctors prescribed the necessary treatment.
Local authorities are investigating the causes of the incident to determine the circumstances that led to the bus's abrupt stop and the injured passengers.
