Three athletes from Nessebar 1971 Athletics Club – Tsvetomir Hristov, Asenia Dimitrova and Stefani Trakalyanova – won three medals at the fourth Skalite cross-country race in Belogradchik on 4 October. It was a strong start to the club's new season.
Hristov won the boys' under-14 race. Dimitrova finished second and Trakalyanova took bronze in the girls' under-16 race. Both age groups ran 1,950 metres.
The success is down to steady training, the hard work of the young athletes and their coach, Vasil Lechev. Nessebar council backs youth sport and provides conditions for young people to train.
The athletes are continuing to prepare for their next races.
