Three architectural firms have been selected as the best in an international competition for the design of the so-called Dupkata space in Burgas. They received the highest scores from the jury, which also took into account public consultation with the citizens of Burgas.
The competition brought together 140 companies from around the world. The projects of the three shortlisted firms have been published and are available for citizens who wish to review the ideas.
This is an important moment in the development of urban space. Now the public has a chance to directly participate in choosing the future space.
What happens next?
After the conclusion of the procedure, Burgas Municipality will invite the ranked firms to present their projects personally before the Municipal Council and the citizens of Burgas. The final decision on implementation will depend on public approval.
