Slavia's coach Zlatomir Zagorchich made an honest comment after the team's painful loss to Dobrudzha in a match from the second round of the First League. The specialist emphasized the exceptional performance of the hosts, who managed to win 2:1 even with ten players.
At the center of his statement, Zagorchich placed the young footballer Kristiyan Balov, born in 2006. He described the 16-year-old talent as an extremely promising player who is just beginning to regain his form after a prolonged absence due to illness.
"We had a serious interruption of about half a year, but we are gradually bringing Balov back to playing readiness," the coach shared. He expressed hope that the young footballer will get more opportunities to showcase himself in upcoming matches.
Zagorchich was direct in his self-criticism towards the team, admitting that Dobrudzha completely deserved to win the match. According to him, the players of the opposing team gave 150 percent, demonstrating an exceptional will to win.
The coach also shared the professional challenges of working with a young team. "This season we made many changes. We will try to adapt the new and young footballers to the team's requirements," said Zagorchich, who is a long-time specialist at Slavia.
In conclusion, he expressed optimism that the team will soon find its rhythm and start winning matches, despite the current difficulties.
