Electricity price for businesses to rise 2.8% to €138.63 per megawatt-hour tomorrow

Electricity for delivery on October 2 will cost €138.63 per megawatt-hour on average, excluding VAT, up 2.8% from today, according to data from the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBEX).

Power prices for businesses will rise 2.8% tomorrow, according to data from the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange after trading closed today.

The average day-ahead price for delivery on October 2 is 138.63 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding VAT. Yesterday's close had put today's price at 134.86 euros.

Peak hours, from 9am to 8pm, will average 95.63 euros per megawatt-hour. Off-peak hours — 1am to 8am and 9pm to midnight — will average 181.63 euros.

Total volume sold for tomorrow came to 110,818.72 megawatt-hours.

On the intraday market, 60-minute products traded at a weighted average of 78.54 euros per megawatt-hour excluding VAT, while 15-minute products averaged 103.09 euros for the day.
