Electricity for businesses will cost 8.57% less tomorrow, October 7, than today. The average day-ahead price on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange will drop to 189.60 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding VAT, down from 207.38 euros today, the exchange said.
The drop comes from daytime hours. Between 9am and 8pm tomorrow, the average price will be 169.33 euros per megawatt-hour. At night, from 1am to 8am, and in the evening, from 9pm to midnight, prices run higher, averaging 227.88 euros per megawatt-hour.
Traders sold 100,528.70 megawatt-hours on the exchange for the delivery day.
On the intraday segment, where trades happen in real time, the weighted average price for hourly products currently stands at 186.03 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding VAT, while 15-minute products are trading at 204.82 euros.
