The tanker 'Kairos' is in a stable condition, confirmed Zhivko Petrov, Director of the Maritime Administration - Burgas, after the first inspection. There is no pollution of the environment.
Inspectors from the Maritime Administration and Border Police found serious damage in the stern of the ship. The ship is without electricity and cannot use its engines. Water has entered the engine room as a result of a breach caused by a drone strike.
The tanker is currently anchored, but the port anchor is jammed. An operation to raise the anchor with external power supply is forthcoming, after which the ship will be towed to a safer point in Burgas Bay.
There are three crew members on board who are monitoring the condition of the ship.
