Bulgaria had 18,700 job vacancies at the end of the second quarter of 2026, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said today. A year earlier, the figure was 10.8% higher.
Three months before, there were 20,900 vacancies, which was 6.3% fewer than at the end of the first quarter of 2025.
The job vacancy rate fell to 0.8% in the second quarter from 0.9% in the first.
On 7 October we reported that, according to an analysis by Job Tiger, job ads in Burgas in September were almost unchanged from August. Across Bulgaria, the number of ads was down about 9.5% on the year.
The rate shows what share of all jobs, filled and vacant, are unfilled.
