A landslide caused an emergency situation in the area of the village of Kamenar, Varna region. Due to the landslide, a sewage collector was torn, which led to the leakage of wastewater into the nearby gully.
V&K-Varna informed the environmental institutions, carried out checks and took samples from the waters. Chief engineer Svetoslav Natov pointed out that urgent actions were taken immediately. Emergency bridging of the route has begun, with new pipes with a total length of about 60 meters being welded to temporarily restore the connection.
The leak of wastewater has been stopped and it has been redirected to the internal sewerage network of Kamenar. If meteorological conditions allow, the accident will be removed by the end of the week. The water supply to the residents has not been interrupted. In the long term, further examination and possible correction of the route are forthcoming.
