An intense process of accepting applications from citizens affected by the devastating natural disaster that struck the area of the Elenite holiday village has begun at the Sveti Vlas municipality. A BTA reporter on the scene reports a gathering of people, frightened and seeking information and support after the disaster. The atmosphere is tense, filled with anxiety and hope.
The municipality clarifies that citizens can submit applications for various types of assistance. This includes temporary accommodation for those who have been left without a roof over their heads, as well as assistance in restoring lost personal documents. In addition, those affected can apply for humanitarian and social assistance, so necessary in these difficult times. Last but not least, doors are open for submitting applications for material support, intended to restore the damage caused to their homes by the natural disaster.
While the municipality is trying to meet the growing needs, the distribution of donations continues in parallel. Essential products are delivered and distributed on the spot - food, clothing, medicines and other vital materials of first necessity. Volunteers and employees work around the clock to provide this aid to those in need.
The BTA reporter notes that some of the victims have already found temporary shelter. They are accommodated in private homes in Sveti Vlas, as local residents open their doors to those in need. Others have found shelter in two hotels in the city - "Laguna" and "Fort Knox Panorama", which are already full. Unfortunately, their capacity is limited. Additional places have been provided in a base in the Sunny Beach resort. The sight of the evacuees, seeking shelter and comfort, is heartbreaking.
