The Mayor of Sveti Vlas, Ivan Nikolov, met with the Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria, H.E. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, to discuss opportunities for tourism development and the provision of qualified labor. The delegation was invited by the chairman of the Bulgarian Construction and Trade Consortium (BCTC) and the Euro-Asian Association for Business, Culture and Friendship (EAABCF), Veselin Koshev.
Mayor Nikolov emphasized that Sveti Vlas is developing rapidly and creating conditions for foreign investment. Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet noted the high qualifications of Vietnamese workers, who can be useful for Bulgaria, especially considering the labor shortage.
Issues related to visa regimes and cooperation between the labor ministries of the two countries were discussed. Veselin Koshev stated that the organizations he represents will assist in attracting workers from Vietnam. The Ambassador highlighted the potential for cooperation in tourism, the spa industry, real estate, and personnel training.
The possibility of twinning between Sveti Vlas and a Vietnamese resort town was also discussed, as well as cooperation in the field of culture. The meeting was also attended by three first secretaries of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria and Apostol Hristov, a member of the management of the BCTC and EAABCF.
