Artist and local councillor Stefan Hristov turns 50 and is marking the birthday with an exhibition in Sozopol. It opens tonight at 6pm in the foyer of the town's chitalishte (community cultural centre).
The show is called "50 years. Thousands of colours. One passion." It includes seascapes, flowers and portraits. The sea and the town are the main themes of Hristov's work.
"At 50, I see painting not as a finished road, but as a constant move towards new pictures, ideas and meetings with people who love art," Hristov said.
He held his first solo exhibition in 2017. Since then he has taken part in many shows in Sozopol, Burgas and the region. His paintings are in private collections in dozens of countries.
