The Student Committee of Burgas Municipality (UKOB) has announced the launch of the second edition of the National Poetry Competition "Burgas Inspires". The initiative is organized with the support of Burgas Municipality and the "Burgas - 2032" Foundation, and is open to young creators from across the country.
The theme for this year's edition is "The Natural Beauties of Burgas". The organizers explain that the goal of the competition is to encourage and support young literary talents by providing them with an opportunity to showcase their personal perspective on the city.
The competition will be divided into two age groups: 14 to 17 years old (first category) and 18 to 30 years old (second category). All submitted poems will be evaluated by a jury consisting of established Burgas poets and literary figures.
Authors whose works are nominated will receive an invitation to a formal ceremony. It will take place on December 2 of this year, starting at 18:00, at the "Flora" Exhibition Center. During the event, the poems will come to life in a musical and poetic performance featuring music and theater students.
Those wishing to participate must submit up to three of their works to the email address provided by the organizers – [email protected] – no later than November 1 of this year. Full terms and conditions for participation are available in the file attached to the official invitation.

The organizers added that the "Burgas Inspires" competition supports the city's candidacy to become a European Capital of Culture in 2032.
