An investment construction project in the Varna district of "Galata" has been put under serious doubt by the local administration due to citizen complaints and potential environmental risks. Official representatives of the municipal government announced a temporary suspension of the procedure until the factual circumstances are clarified.

The main concerns are related to possible unauthorized destruction of vegetation and an increased likelihood of landslides in the area. The Varna Municipality management is undertaking a large-scale investigation, which includes an in-depth analysis of the entire documentary array and correspondence with the Ministry of Regional Development.

The chief architect of the municipality has taken extremely precise actions, having sent official inquiries to the Regional and District Prosecutor's Office regarding possible proceedings related to decisions by the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water - Varna.

At the moment, no official building permit application has been submitted to the municipal administration. The only filed documents are related to preliminary coordination of investment projects and issuance of a land planning sketch for the property.

The history of the terrain dates back to 2007, when an initial permission for construction activities was issued. At the same time, a detailed spatial development plan was approved, which regulates the construction parameters. Subsequently, in 2018, a proposal was submitted to lift the construction ban in the respective territorial scope.

The municipal authorities demonstrate exceptional caution and concern for compliance with all legal and environmental norms, prioritizing public interest over investment intentions.
