Following the vote on the Social Security budget in its first reading, and before the debates on the National Health Insurance Fund budget, representatives of PP-DB expressed an objection to the procedure for reviewing the budget plans without discussion in the social policy and healthcare committees.
Asen Vasilev from PP-DB requested a break to convene the healthcare committee, but Raya Nazaryan determined a 20-minute interruption.
Kostadin Angelov (GERB-SDS) stated that a meeting of the healthcare committee had been scheduled, but the MPs from PP-DB were busy with interviews instead of work. He emphasized the importance of healthcare as a unifying cause, rejecting political struggles in the budgetary process.
Venko Sabrutev (PP-DB) objected to the lack of discussion in the committees.
Lena Borislavova from PP-DB insisted on adherence to the regulations, highlighting the cancellation of committee meetings without explanation.
Raya Nazaryan responded that the draft laws had been distributed to the committees and yesterday's decision for consideration in the plenary hall was made with regard to the work program.
