The specially created performance “Flow and Child” by the Dune Dance Company will launch the World Taijiquan Championships (part of the kung fu martial arts) in Burgas on April 25, announced its organizers from the Bulgarian Wushu Federation. The stage production, which combines dance, music, and visual effects, will be presented in the Mladost sports hall as part of the official opening ceremony of the forum, which is expected to be attended by competitors from 38 countries. Its director and choreographer is Petya Stoykova. The music is by composer Tsvetan Momchilov, and the Romanian visual artist Adrian Manulescu is working on the 3D mapping.

The plot of “Flow and Child” presents a metaphorical story about the creation, loss, and restoration of harmony, inspired by the philosophy of tai chi and Tao. At the center of the action is the image of a child who discovers his inner strength, guided by the symbolic image of the heavenly dragon and the idea of flow as an expression of balance and the continuous movement of life, the authors explain.

The performance features Radoslav Yordanov, Velizar Gruev, Tsvetina Matova, Ksenia Bakalova, Raya Chakarova, Darina Staleva, Inna Ivanova, Ivan Nanyov, Kalin Zafirov, Stanislava Kamenova-Zafirova and Asya Atanasova, as well as performers from the Dune Dance School. The folklore choir from the professional ensemble “Strandzha” and the musicians Krasen Kolarov and Ivo Georgiev from the club “Cheren Drakon” also have a special participation.

A press conference for the event is scheduled for April 24. It will present more details from the upcoming championship, which will be held in the "Mladost" sports hall and will continue until April 30.
