Work began on Monday, 26 October, on a completely new network of streets in Misaria, a neighbourhood of Sozopol. The streets will run for 4,800 metres in total.
The project costs €5,346,594.49. The money is earmarked state budget funding for municipal projects, provided under an agreement with the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
The streets will get new surfaces, pavements, kerbs, street lights, greenery and parking areas. The aim is to improve roads and access in the residential area. The neighbourhood is growing and the district is still taking shape.
The work covers Musala, Stara Planina, Khan Asparuh, Khan Isperih, Khan Kubrat, Khan Omurtag, Khan Tervel, Khan Malamir, Tsar Boris, Tsar Ivan Asen II, Tsar Ivan Shishman, Tsar Kaloyan and Tsar Petar streets. Tsar Samuil and Tsar Simeon Veliki streets are included in part. The plan also covers Tsar Asen Veliki street and two streets identified only by survey points: from O.T. 820 to O.T. 675 and from O.T. 653 to O.T. 880.
The network is split into four sections. Work has started on the first, and the second, third and fourth will follow.
The first section includes Tsar Asen Veliki from O.T. 693 to O.T. 776, Tsar Ivan Asen II from O.T. 792 to O.T. 798 and Tsar Simeon Veliki from O.T. 785 to O.T. 673. It also takes in Tsar Boris from O.T. 693 to O.T. 685, Tsar Samuil from O.T. 782 to O.T. 691, Khan Malamir from O.T. 826 to O.T. 688 and Khan Asparuh from O.T. 776 to O.T. 685.
The second section covers the street from O.T. 653 to O.T. 880, Stara Planina, stretches of Tsar Asen Veliki and Tsar Ivan Shishman, and Musala. The third covers stretches of Tsar Asen Veliki, Tsar Ivan Shishman, Tsar Ivan Asen II and Tsar Boris, as well as Khan Tervel and Khan Kubrat.
The fourth section includes Tsar Simeon Veliki, the street from O.T. 820 to O.T. 675, Tsar Petar, Tsar Kaloyan, Khan Omurtag and stretches of Tsar Boris and Khan Tervel.
The whole project must be finished in 449 calendar days.
