Sozopol Municipality marked an important event – the successful completion of a project aimed at improving the environment in a kindergarten in the village of Atia. The project, funded by the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, is focused on the introduction of energy-saving measures in a municipal building, namely the branch of the kindergarten "Delfinche" in the village of Atia.

The value of the investment, realized within the framework of this project, amounts to BGN 958,785.66 excluding VAT. The main goal of the project was multifaceted – both improving the energy efficiency of the building and creating a more comfortable and safe environment for the children and staff of the kindergarten.

Many officials attended the ceremonial opening of the renovated kindergarten. Among the guests were the Mayor of Sozopol, Tihomir Yanakiev, the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Stanimir Andonov, as well as Captain 1st Rank Petar Petrov from the Naval Base in Atia. The presence of the deputy mayors of Sozopol Andrey Nikolov and Todor Damyanov, the mayor of the village of Atia Rumen Dimitrov, municipal councilors, parents and many guests from Atia emphasized the importance of this project for the local community.

Mayor Tihomir Yanakiev, addressing those present, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the realization of this project. "My thanks are to all those who took part in this change, so that the best for our children can be a fact. Thank you to the parents for their children being here and giving life to this kindergarten and to Atia", he said.

Galina Hristova, director of the group "Moryache", a branch of the kindergarten Delfinche, also thanked everyone who participated in the renovation of the kindergarten, as well as the children's parents.

With the completion of the project, the kindergarten building underwent significant improvements. Thermal insulation of the external enclosing walls was carried out, as well as thermal insulation of the roof with stone wool. The old window frames were replaced with new ones, and a multi-component heat pump system for central heating and air conditioning was installed in the building.

In addition, a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 19.8 kW was built in the kindergarten, which will provide the energy needs of the building. The floors were replaced, the walls were painted, and the sanitary units were renovated. Landscaping of the kindergarten yard is also planned.

The implementation of this project not only increased the energy efficiency of the building, but also created a modern and cozy environment for learning and playing for the children.
