Sozopol is preparing for the expected heavy rainfall today and tomorrow, for which heightened alert measures have been announced. The municipality is taking preventive actions to prevent flooding and protect the population, providing a special phone number for reporting issues.

Sozopol, Bulgaria – Emergency teams and volunteers in the Black Sea town are on high alert in connection with the predicted significant rainfall today and tomorrow. This was announced by the press center of Sozopol Municipality, confirming concerns about a difficult weather situation.

The Municipality explained that the emergency repair group will conduct another inspection of all settlements in the area. Preventive measures are aimed at preventing potential floods and other disaster situations that could arise as a result of heavy rains. If action is required, resulting from the last 24 hours, additional cleaning of ditches and streams will be carried out.

The premonition of the upcoming bad weather conditions hovers in the air over the coastal town. Residents are preparing for a difficult ordeal, and the authorities are taking all possible measures to minimize damage and risks. The mayors of all settlements in the area have received new instructions to take the necessary actions to protect the population in the event of expected heavy rainfall. These actions include preparing shelters, providing the necessary resources and readiness for evacuation if needed.

The voluntary formation to the Municipality will be available around the clock, the administration specified. This shows the municipality's readiness to respond to any situation that might arise. The volunteer teams will be deployed in key locations and will be ready to help those in need.
