Another weak earthquake hit near Sliven on Sunday, 11 October. The 2.7-magnitude quake was recorded at 13:27, about 12 km south-east of the city, just 40 minutes after the magnitude 3 quake at 12:47, which had almost the same epicentre.

The quake's source lies about 8 km deep, at 42.58° N and 26.38° E. Yambol is 15 km from the epicentre, Stara Zagora 63 km and Burgas 89 km.

Quakes of this strength are usually felt only by people at rest, mostly on upper floors close to the epicentre. There are no reports of injuries or damage.

Updated (11.10, 14:28): The details were corrected after a second analysis of the seismic records. The magnitude is 2.7, not 2.9, and the epicentre is near Sliven at a depth of about 8 km, not near Yambol at 1 km as first reported.
