"Siemens Bulgaria" created a new, modern space for students from the Technical University (TU) in Varna, the company announced today. This move is part of the company's long-term strategy aimed at improving the learning environment in partner higher education institutions.

The official opening ceremony of the new space was attended by the rector of TU-Varna, Prof. Dr. Dragomir Plamenov, as well as Eng. Teodor Marinov, head of the "Digital Industries" department at "Siemens Bulgaria." Representatives of the academic leadership, managers from the company, and, of course, students were also present. The new space, located in the foyer of the New Academic Building, offers students the opportunity for informal communication, collaboration, and exchange of ideas. The company emphasizes that the creation of such corners in partner universities is an expression of their long-term commitment to the development of quality education in Bulgaria.

The long-standing partnership between "Siemens Bulgaria" and TU-Varna is of key importance. With the company's support, the educational institution already has a technical laboratory, which supports the preparation of young professionals for the challenges of modern industry. In addition, the partners are implementing a joint training program on Siemens PLC control technologies. This program is specifically aimed at the development of specialists who have graduated from technical specializations.

An engineering hub of the company has been operating in Varna for seven years. It employs over 20 experts who are involved in the design and implementation of innovative systems for automation, control, and visualization of production processes. In addition, the specialists in the hub are engaged in programming and integrating industrial automation systems and industrial robotic systems, including for the automotive industry.

The new "Siemens Corner" on the territory of TU-Varna is part of the company's large-scale initiative, which started in the summer. The aim of the initiative is to create similar spaces in other higher education institutions with which "Siemens Bulgaria" maintains long-term partnerships. Since the end of July, a similar space has been functioning at the Technical University - Sofia, and since last week - also at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev".
