Strong Solar Flare: Magnetic Storm Threatens Health

17.11.2025 | Health and fitness

A strong solar flare is expected today, which will trigger a magnetic storm with a Kp index of 5. The storm may affect health, especially in children and people with high blood pressure. Be careful!

Today, our planet will once again be under the influence of a strong solar flare, reports the specialized site Meteo Agent. According to the data, geomagnetic activity will reach a level that can affect people's health.

The magnetic storm is expected to be with a Kp index of 5 and a C7 class. This represents a potential threat to the well-being of a significant part of the population.

We remind you that last week the Earth experienced almost daily strong geomagnetic storms. Such periods of increased solar activity can lead to significant changes in the Earth's magnetic field, which in turn can cause adverse reactions in people.

Children are particularly vulnerable to changes in the magnetosphere. Hypersensitivity to these phenomena in them can manifest in a certain way.

Adults can also be affected by magnetic storms. These phenomena can cause various adverse symptoms.

People suffering from high blood pressure are particularly vulnerable to these changes. In them, a sharp increase in blood pressure is possible, accompanied by an accelerated heartbeat - exceeding the normal heart rate, which varies from 60 to 100 beats per minute.

In addition, the reduced concentration of oxygen in the air, which can be a consequence of some of these phenomena, in combination with long-term and poorly treated hypertension, increases the risk of heart attack or stroke.

The increase in stress hormones, such as cortisol and adrenaline, under the influence of magnetic storms, can lead to spasm of blood vessels and a sharp increase in blood pressure. In addition, these hormones can also cause more frequent manifestations of aggression.
