February 22, 2026. An ordinary morning, like all the others… or maybe not quite? The day always begins with something - the sound of an alarm, the aroma of coffee, or just a thought that wakes you up to new challenges.
Reflections at dawn
What if we focused on the inner battle? Not against others, but against ourselves. This thought solidified into something more than just a random whim, didn't it? We all strive for success, but sometimes we forget where the real strength lies.
Sometimes, in order to see what's in front of us, we must first look within ourselves. To discover weaknesses, fears, doubts. To overcome them. That's the real victory.
Lao Tzu, the ancient sage, has something very important to tell us on this matter. His words are simple but profound. Here they are:
Words that remain
"He who conquers others is strong. He who conquers himself is mighty."
What's the difference? Winning a battle against another is an external achievement. Recognition from the world. But winning the battle with yourself… is something completely different. It's about liberation, about true growth.
It's not easy, of course. It's often easier to blame circumstances, other people, external factors. Yes, they have an influence, but they don't determine everything.
The truly mighty person is the one who has mastered their inner demons. The one who has found peace within themselves. This is the person who can inspire and lead others.
This doesn't mean closing ourselves off and forgetting about the world around us. On the contrary. To conquer yourself makes you stronger, more open to others. More capable of loving and caring.
Is it worth it?
Yes. It's worth it. Today. Tomorrow. Always. Because in the end, the most important battle is the one you wage within yourself. And if you win it, you will win everything.
