How would William Shakespeare sound if he were born today? It is this question that will inspire dozens of young talents in Burgas this spring.
From April 6 to 9, the Expo Center "Flora" will turn into a creative laboratory, where the classics will meet the present. The "Elenov" Theater Workshop is once again opening its doors to children and young people between 12 and 18 years old with the promise not just of training, but of a real artistic experience. The theme of the workshop this year is "Shakespeare in Modern Style".
Under the motto "Fill the vacation with meaning", participants will immerse themselves in four days filled with creativity, experiments and stage freedom. And the best part - participation is completely free, as long as you have the desire to go beyond the framework.
Behind the scenes of this inspiring initiative are professionals with a mission - actor Sevar Ivanov, director Rozita Elenova and choreographer Marlena Todorova. They will lead the young participants through different artistic worlds - from the power of voice and stage presence to the language of the body and the expressiveness of movement.
The workshop will build on their skills through:
- mastering speech and stage speech,
- control of the body and stage tension,
- movement and positioning in stage space,
- acting and character building.
But this will not be just training. This will be a process of discovery - of voice, of emotion, of courage.
The culmination will come on April 9, when the young artists will appear before an audience with a final performance - a contemporary reading of Shakespeare, refracted through their energy, imagination and personal world.
The initiative is realized by the "Dimitar Elenov" Foundation with the support of the Municipal Fund "Culture", proving that Burgas continues to be a stage not only for established names, but also for the future voices of the theater.
