Burgas councillor Daniel Ivanov has asked mayor Dimitar Nikolov whether a stretch of Probuda Street will be repaired, and when. The stretch runs between Sheynovo Street and William Gladstone Street. Photos of the road surface are attached to the question. See our original report: Councillor asks Burgas mayor when a stretch of Makedoniya Street will be repaired.
Our first reports gave the wrong location. They named Makedoniya Street, between Hristo Botev Street and William Gladstone Street. The question is about Probuda Street.
Ivanov raised the issue after calls from people who live in the area. They say the street has been in poor condition for several years. They complain of potholes, bumps and dips, both on the road and in the paid parking spaces.
Probuda Street beyond William Gladstone Street was repaired very recently and has new asphalt. According to the question, the stretch up to Sheynovo Street was skipped. Ivanov says people are asking why the repairs did not cover the whole street.
The paid parking zones on the street are marked and run by Burgas council.
