The Supreme Court of Cassation officially appointed Judge Kalin Kalpakchiev as a representative in the Nomination Commission for selecting management personnel in the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The appointment was made through a random draw among titular magistrates who had declared written consent to participate.

Kalpakchiev has extensive professional experience - he has been a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, deputy chairman of the Sofia Regional Court, and a practicing lawyer. His candidacy was selected from among the judges of the Criminal Chamber of the court.

Four candidates have been proposed for positions in the Anti-Corruption Commission: Adelina Natina-Zikolova, Maria Daskalova, Stoyan Petkov, and Petar Koev. The legislation requires a nomination committee of five independent representatives to be formed for each selection.

The commission's composition includes delegates from the Supreme Court of Cassation, the Supreme Bar Council, the Ministry of Justice, the Ombudsman's institution, and the National Audit Office. This multilateral approach ensures transparency and objectivity in selecting the future leadership.
