The large-scale engineering reinforcement of occupied territories reaches an impressive 8,312 kilometers, demonstrating the complex defensive strategy of Russian military formations. Detailed regional distribution reveals significant variations in the intensity of fortification construction.

The most affected areas show drastic differences: Donetsk region registers 2,814 kilometers of defensive structures with an impressive increase of 51%, while Zaporizhzhia region reaches 1,991 kilometers with a more moderate growth of 7%. Luhansk region has 1,302 kilometers with a 14% increase, and Kherson region – 483 kilometers with a 29% expansion.

Experts from DeepState identify a significant change in the approach of Russian occupiers. Instead of traditional in-depth engineering structures, the focus shifts to positionally built defensive lines that evolve parallel to military actions.

Military dynamics show that in several areas, Russian troops manage to push Ukrainian units from their initial positions. Especially in the southern direction, battles take place in close proximity to pre-prepared defensive lines.

Analysts interpret the large-scale fortification construction as an indicator of Russian readiness to wage a prolonged war of attrition. The strategy aims to prevent significant breakthroughs by Ukrainian military formations.

Kharkiv region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea complete the picture with 126 and 278 kilometers of defensive structures, respectively, with Kharkiv region marking an exceptional growth of 350%.
