Russian forces hit the village of Cherkaske in Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region, with a Smerch multiple rocket launcher today, 12 October, at 11:15 am. Three civilians were killed, including a 13-year-old girl, and four were wounded, the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office said.
The rocket struck a private house in a residential area of private homes. The house was completely destroyed.
The dead were members of one family: a 36-year-old woman, a 62-year-old grandmother and her granddaughter.
Three men and the 18-year-old son of the woman who was killed were wounded.
Russia has been waging a full-scale war against Ukraine since February 2022.
