An unprecedented night bombardment against the Ukrainian capital caused massive damage and human losses. The combined attack with kamikaze drones and ballistic missiles was carried out in the night hours between July 3 and 4, 2025.
The damage covered six administrative districts of Kyiv – Solomensky, Sviatoshynsky, Shevchenkivsky, Darnitsky, Goloseyivsky, and Dniprovskyi. The most serious damage was in the Solomensky district, where a five-story residential building was partially destroyed, and a fire broke out on the roof of a seven-story block covering an area of 2000 square meters.
Among the most severe consequences are numerous injured citizens. A total of 23 people were wounded, including a 10-year-old girl, with 14 of them hospitalized. The damage affected warehouse spaces, auto repair shops, garage cooperatives, and residential buildings.
In the Sviatoshynsky district, a kamikaze drone hit a 14-story residential block, causing a fire and damage to vehicles. The Shevchenkivsky district suffered from the destruction of the first floor of an eight-story unoccupied building.
Additional damage was inflicted on railway infrastructure, which necessitated changes in train schedules. Local authorities called on residents to close their windows due to the high concentration of combustion products in the air.
The Ukrainian air defense demonstrated high effectiveness, managing to neutralize 478 out of a total of 550 enemy drones and missiles. Nonetheless, the attack is considered one of the most large-scale and destructive operations against Kyiv in recent weeks.
The information is confirmed by leading Ukrainian and international media sources, including NV, 24 Channel, Obozrevatel, and RBC-Ukraine.
