Another ruthless Russian offensive against the Ukrainian capital Kyiv was carried out last night, with the attack involving extensive use of drones and missile systems. According to initial data from local authorities, the attack was extremely precisely planned and executed with a large number of combat means.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko confirmed that rescue teams and medical personnel are working in four different districts of the city. The damage is significant - a metro station in the central city area, commercial facilities, residential buildings, and even a kindergarten have been affected.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russian forces launched more than 30 drones and 30 missiles at various targets in Ukraine during the past night. Local residents massively sought shelter in underground metro stations, trying to save themselves from another air attack.
Kyiv authorities confirmed at least one fatality and multiple fires resulting from the attack. The scale of the damage is still being determined, with rescue services continuing to work on clearing and providing initial assistance to the victims.
Russian military have not yet officially commented on this specific attack, but maintain their position of continuing military actions in Ukraine. The international community once again condemned the latest violence against civilian population.
This night offensive is another proof of the ongoing tension and military actions in the region, which continue to threaten the life and safety of the peaceful population in Ukraine.
