Russian forces attacked Kyiv overnight into October 1, sparking fires across the capital and wounding one man, Ukraine's interior ministry says.
A warehouse caught fire in the Obolonskyi district; firefighters have put out the blaze. In the Solomianskyi district, a room on the ground floor of a 16-storey apartment block caught fire, and cars parked next to the building also burned.
According to earlier reports, Russia launched 107 strike drones of the Gerbera and Shahed type, 63 of them equipped with jet engines. Decoy drones of the "Parody" type were also used.
Russia has been waging a full-scale war against Ukraine since February 2022.
