Caretaker Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and the Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann will present the report “Economic Review of Bulgaria for 2025” in the afternoon at the Council of Ministers, the cabinet's press office announced.

The report, prepared by the OECD, contains an in-depth analysis of the main economic trends and development prospects for the country, as well as recommendations for public policies, the press office added.

Rosen Zhelyazkov will also hold a meeting with Mathias Cormann on Thursday, which will also be attended by the caretaker Minister of Finance, Temenuzhka Petkova, and the caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev.

At the beginning of the year, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Pavlov announced that the reviews for Bulgaria's accession to 17 of the 25 OECD committees had been completed.

The OECD was created in 1961 with the aim of stimulating policies for sustainable economic development, raising the living standards of the population and maintaining financial stability, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website says. It is the successor to the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation, created to manage American and Canadian financial aid (the so-called Marshall Plan) for the reconstruction of Europe after the Second World War.
