The regional election commission (RIK) in Burgas has named the venues where members of polling station commissions (SIK) will be trained before the presidential and vice-presidential election on 25 October. Training runs from 19 to 21 October. Each session starts at 6pm, and the commissions are split up by district.
This report follows our earlier story on the training of SIK members in Burgas, which said it would take place from 19 to 21 October.
The first evening, Monday 19 October, is at the Mladost sports hall. Commissions from the Osvobozhdenie administrative area, which covers the Vetren, Banevo and Lozovo neighbourhoods, and from the Dolno Ezerovo administrative area will meet there. They will train together with the commissions for the extra polling stations in the Heart and Brain hospital, the Deva Maria university hospital, the Mineral Baths rehabilitation centre and the St Mina rehabilitation facility.
On Tuesday 20 October, the DNA hall will host SIK from the Izgrev administrative area, which covers the Sarafovo, Rudnik and Cherno More neighbourhoods. It will also host the polling station at the 5th kilometre and the commissions in Burgas University Hospital, the Complex Oncology Centre and St Anastasia hospital. The mobile polling station commissions (PSIK) No. 344 and No. 345 will train in the same hall.
On 21 October, training takes place at three venues at the same time.
At the State Opera building, the SIK from the Vazrazhdane administrative area, which includes the Gorno Ezerovo neighbourhood, will train. They will be joined by the polling stations in Burgas Prison and Burgasmed university hospital, and the mobile PSIK No. 346 and No. 347. The same evening, the DNA hall will host the commissions from the Zora administrative area and from the villages that belong to the municipality.
The third venue is the NHK hall. It will host SIK from the Primorie administrative area, which covers the Kraimorie neighbourhood, and the special polling stations in the Tsveta and Anka Varbanovi and Utopia care homes and in the lung hospital. SIK KORAB No. 348, the polling station for vessels, is also part of this group.
Organisers want all elected SIK members to arrive on time at the venue for their district.
