Regional Consultations for Interreg Programs 2028-2034 Begin on February 25th

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works announces regional consultations with stakeholders for the new Interreg programs for the period 2028-2034. The meetings start on February 25th and will be held in various cities to discuss priorities and gather suggestions.

Regional consultations on Interreg programs for the period 2028-2034 with stakeholders in the preparation of the new territorial cooperation programs will begin on February 25, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works announced on its website.

Such meetings will also be held in Vidin (February 25), Blagoevgrad (March 5), Kyustendil (March 6), Veliko Tarnovo (March 9), Varna (March 10), and Burgas (March 26).

The aim is for local communities – administrations, cultural institutions, non-governmental and business organizations, to get acquainted with the first versions of documents and priorities for the new period and to participate with suggestions that could be taken into account in the programming process, the press center said.

They add that our country is expected to continue its participation in a total of 12 Interreg programs – as the Managing Authority of the programs with Serbia, the Republic of North Macedonia and Turkey, as the National Authority of the programs with Romania and Greece, and as a national contact point for the programs “Black Sea Basin“, “Danube Region“, “Euromed“, “Interreg Europe“, “Urbact“, “Espon“ and “Interact“.
